Maintaining an active compost bin in the winter months is difficult. The Sulana® Plate is designed to be placed on the bottom of the compost bin. This has two significant advantages:

1. A plate heater prevents the compost from freezing and emptying the bin is possible in the winter.
2. The heat rises evenly from the bottom of the bin, keeping the entire compost mass unfrozen.

Easy to install from the bottom hatch, power cable length 3 meters.

A thermostat controls the heating and turns it off when the temperature reaches 50°C. The simplest way to use the heater is periodically: when the temperature has dropped below 20°C, you can plug in the heater for a few hours. This is enough to reactivate the organisms in the soil.

The thermostat turns off the heater when required and the usage is energy efficient. The heater only uses 0,024 €/hour of electricity. When it has reached 50°C, electricity usage is 0,00€.
